Core Responsibilities – Research Intern
1. Literature Review & Background Research
- Conduct systematic and narrative searches using academic databases (e.g., PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar).
- Summarize research articles, policy documents, and reports.
2. Data Collection & Participant Coordination
- Schedule assessment sessions, interviews, or surveys with participants and caregivers.
- Support fieldwork, including administering questionnaires or helping with observational assessments under supervision.
- Maintain participant logs and follow-up records.
3. Data Entry, Cleaning & Analysis Support
- Enter data accurately into research databases or spreadsheets.
- Assist in cleaning and organizing datasets.
- Help generate tables, graphs, and summary reports.
4. Documentation & Project Support
- Help prepare study protocols, consent forms, and ethics-related documents.
- Maintain organized records of project materials, study logs, and research correspondence.
5. Administrative & Operational Assistance
- Support the day-to-day tasks of the research team as required.
Requirements
– Strong interest in psychology and neuroscience.
– Good written and verbal communication skills.
– Basic familiarity with research methods, literature search and academic writing.
– Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); willingness to learn statistical or research software.
– Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential data.
– A collaborative attitude and eagerness to learn from hands-on research work.
