Role Description
The Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist will provide high-quality assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for individuals with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. The role requires strong clinical expertise, evidence-based practice and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team at the India Autism Center.
Core Responsibilities
1. Clinical Care Software Development
- Provide expert leadership in developing clinical workflows, assessment frameworks, and intervention pathways, ensuring alignment with global best practices in autism care and psychological services.
- Review and validate software modules to confirm they are evidence-based, clinically sound, and consistent with internationally recognized standards of care.
- Collaborate with product and technology teams to convert clinical workflows into effective digital features, and support user testing with clinically informed, globally benchmarked insights.
2. Develop and Implement Evidence-Based Intervention Plans
- Create individualized intervention plans tailored to each learner’s needs.
- Use validated, scientific therapeutic methodologies in areas such as behavioral therapy, cognitive interventions, social skills, and developmental support.
- Work collaboratively with Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Special Education, and Medical teams.
3. Engage in Multidisciplinary Case Discussions
- Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, educators, and clinical teams for holistic planning.
- Participate in IEP planning and review meetings.
4. Maintain Documentation, Compliance & Ethical Standards
- Ensure adherence to RCI guidelines and international best practices.
- Maintain clinical documentation, assessment records and progress reports.
5. Support Training, Research & Capacity Building
- Work collaboratively with Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Special Education, and Medical teams.
- Train junior psychologists, interns and caregivers.
- Contribute to clinical research initiatives at the organization.
6. Conduct Comprehensive Psychological & Developmental Assessments
Conduct standardized assessments, diagnose neurodevelopmental conditions (ASD, ADHD, ID, learning difficulties), and communicate findings through clear reports to families and internal teams.
Requirements
Key Qualities
– Strong foundation in assessment and evidence-based therapy.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– High emotional intelligence and empathy.
– Strong organizational and documentation skills.
– Fluency in English, Hindi, and Bengali is mandatory.
Qualifications
– MPhil in Clinical Psychology (RCI recognized) / PhD / MA/MSc in Psychology with relevant experience.
– 8–10 years of experience with autism and neurodevelopmental conditions.
– Experience within multidisciplinary teams preferred.
