Role Description
The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and compliance. This role ensures accurate financial management, supports strategic planning, and leads the finance team to maintain fiscal discipline and regulatory adherence.
Core Responsibilities
1) Accounting Operations:
- Supervise daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial record-keeping and reporting.
- Maintain and improve internal financial controls.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital management.
2) Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate financial policies.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
3) Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Develop and oversee annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance and analyze variances.
- Recommend cost-saving strategies and financial improvements.
4) Taxation & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and corporate tax filings.
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Manage audits and ensure compliance with statutory and internal audit requirements.
5) Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Supervise and mentor the finance and accounts team.
- Coordinate with other departments for financial planning and resource allocation.
- Assist in financial strategy development to support business growth.
6) Work Activities

- Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships
- Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with Others
Requirements
Key Qualities
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Strong writing, phone and presentation skills.
- Language Preference – English, Bengali, Hindi.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CA/CPA/CMA qualification is a plus.
- Minimum 3-6 years of experience in finance and accounting roles (depending on qualifications)
