Role Description
The Clinical Director will lead neurodevelopmental clinical services, ensuring global standards in assessment, therapy planning, and the validation of clinical guidelines. This role focuses on driving excellence through evidence-based practices and fostering innovation within a multidisciplinary team.
Core Responsibilities
1. Establish and Oversee Gold-Standard Psychological and Developmental Assessments and Reassessment Practices.
- Develop a comprehensive framework for conducting psychological and developmental assessments using internationally recognized tools and methodologies.
- Ensure standardized diagnostic and screening processes for neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and intellectual disabilities.
- Implement periodic reassessments to track progress, refine intervention plans, and ensure individualized, data-driven care.
- Train professionals in evidence-based assessment techniques to maintain accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness.
2. Develop and Implement Evidence-Based Intervention Plans and Validated Clinical Protocols.
- Design and roll out individualized intervention plans based on global best practices in developmental psychology, speech therapy, occupational therapy and behavioral therapy.
- Utilize scientifically validated clinical protocols to ensure high-quality, effective treatment tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Foster multidisciplinary collaboration between psychologists, therapists, educators, and medical professionals to optimize outcomes.
- Regularly review and update intervention methodologies in line with the latest research and technological advancements.
3) Exposure to Alternate Therapies such as Music and Dance, Art, Hydro, Animal Therapy, etc.
- Integrate holistic, non-traditional therapeutic approaches into standard care models to enhance cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Develop structured programs incorporating music and dance therapy to improve communication, motor skills and emotional expression.
- Implement art therapy to support creativity, self-expression, and stress relief in individuals with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Establish hydrotherapy sessions to aid in sensory integration, relaxation and motor skill development.
- Introduce animal-assisted therapy with trained professionals to promote emotional bonding, social interaction and confidence-building.
4) Lead Multidisciplinary Teams, Ensuring High-Quality, Person-Centered Care.
- Oversee and guide diverse teams of psychologists, therapists, educators, medical professionals, and caregivers.
- Foster a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to provide individualized, comprehensive care.
- Ensure care is person-centered, focusing on the unique strengths, needs, and goals of each individual.
- Implement continuous professional development programs to enhance team expertise and effectiveness.
5) Drive Training, Research, and Innovation Aligned with Global Practices.
- Develop training programs for clinicians, therapists, educators and caregivers based on cutting-edge research and international standards.
- Establish a research and development unit to explore new therapeutic approaches, emerging technologies, and best practices in neurodevelopmental care.
- Encourage partnerships with global institutions, universities and healthcare organizations to stay at the forefront of advancements in the field.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, ensuring that professionals remain updated on evolving trends and methodologies.
6) Ensure Compliance with RCI Guidelines and International Benchmarks.
- Adhere to the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) guidelines, ensuring all assessments, interventions, and training programs meet regulatory standards.
- Align practices with global benchmarks, including those set by the World Health Organization (WHO), American Psychological Association (APA), and National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE).
- Conduct regular audits and evaluations to maintain compliance, quality assurance, and accountability.
- Develop ethical frameworks and governance policies to uphold the highest standards of care and service delivery.
7) Lead over 1000+ Professionals in the Field of Neurodevelopmental Conditions in the Next 5 Years.
- Develop a strategic roadmap to scale operations and expand the team to over 1000 professionals, ensuring structured growth.
- Implement robust manpower & capacity planning, training, and retention strategies to build a skilled workforce specializing in neurodevelopmental care.
- Foster leadership development programs to mentor and empower professionals for managerial and supervisory roles.
- Create a strong organizational culture centered on compassion, innovation, and excellence in neurodevelopmental services.
8) Design and Implement Global Best Practices and Adoption of State-of-the-Art Technology in Clinical Practice and Governance.
- Integrate AI-driven diagnostic tools, teletherapy solutions and digital health platforms for improved patient care and accessibility.
- Implement electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline patient data management, tracking and analysis.
- Adopt VR-based and gamified therapeutic interventions to enhance engagement and outcomes in therapy.
- Develop governance frameworks that align with global accreditation standards, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and quality control in service delivery.
- Design and implement global best practices and adoption of state of the art technology in the areas of clinical practice and governance.
9) Team Development and Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team capable of executing the organization’s strategic objectives
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance team
- Serve as a role model for ethical leadership and commitment to the organization’s mission.
Requirements
Key Qualities
- Strong understanding of clinical protocols, patient safety, and quality standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Fluency in English, Hindi and Bengali is mandatory.
- High emotional intelligence and empathy, especially when engaging with parents of children with autism.
- Ability to take initiative, demonstrate urgency, and act promptly.
- Organized, detail-focused, and accountable.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MPhil/Doctorate) in Clinical Psychology or MD in Psychiatry, or related fields.
- 15+ years in multidisciplinary clinical practice, with experience in leading therapy centers in India or abroad
- Proven expertise in evidence-based care, leadership and research.
