Role Overview
The Finishing Engineer will be responsible for ensuring high-quality execution and timely completion of all finishing works within the facility. This role is critical in maintaining construction quality standards, ensuring aesthetic and functional excellence, and enabling readiness of spaces for operational use.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Supervision & Execution: Supervise activities including plastering, tiling, stone work, painting, False Ceiling, carpentry, waterproofing, and fixture installation.
- Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure compliance with specifications, snagging (defect list) management, and material verification.
- Coordination & Planning: Coordinate with architects, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure a smooth, efficient workflow.
- Documentation & Billing: Prepare daily progress reports, manage material inventory, calculate quantities, and assist with subcontractor bill verification.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all finishing work adheres to health and safety regulations.
Key Outcomes
- Snagging and de-snagging (punch lists).
- Managing MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) finishing integration.
- Ensuring smooth finishing schedules for high-end residential or commercial projects
Must-Have Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture, or a diploma in engineering.
- Experience: Typically 5–6 years of experience in construction finishing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in institutional or residential facility projects
- Strong problem-solving and on-site decision-making ability
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Familiarity with project management tools or reporting systems
