Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Drive financial strategies aligned with mission and goals
  • Advise leadership on planning, risk, and sustainability
  • Secure & optimize funding streams (grants, donations, partnerships)

2. Financial Planning & Budgeting

  • Develop multi-year financial plans & annual budgets
  • Lead forecasting processes
  • Provide data-driven insights for resource allocation

3. Operational Financial Management

  • Supervise accounting, treasury, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with regulations & donor requirements
  • Implement internal controls
  • Oversee payroll, tax filings, and operations

4. Grants & Donor Management

  • Design donor-specific financial systems
  • Ensure compliance with grant conditions & reporting

5. Risk Management & Governance

  • Identify & mitigate financial risks
  • Present analyses, audits, and recommendations to leadership
  • Ensure compliance with local & international frameworks

6. Leveraging Systems & Tools

  • Lead adoption of FinTech solutions (ERP, automation, analytics)
  • Integrate software for budgeting, reporting, and resource allocation
  • Ensure the cybersecurity of financial data

7. Policy Formation & Implementation

  • Develop SOPs, manuals, and guidelines for operational excellence
  • Enhance transparency, reduce inefficiencies, mitigate risks

8. Team Development & Leadership

  • Build & mentor a high-performing finance team
  • Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Serve as an ethical leadership role model

  • Development and implementation of sustainable financial plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Timely and compliant financial reporting across grants, donor requirements, and statutory obligations.
  • Improved operational efficiency through the implementation of financial systems and automation tools.
  • Strengthened financial governance, internal controls, and risk management practices.
  • Effective utilization and allocation of organizational resources to support strategic priorities.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Mandatory: Advanced degree (MBA Finance or equivalent) OR professional certifications (CA, CPA, CFA)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Strong strategic planning & analytical skills
  • Deep knowledge of non-profit financial management & compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Leadership acumen with the ability to drive change
  • Passion for social impact & alignment with IAC mission

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Real Estate, Construction, or Project Finance.
  • Experience in the implementation of ERP systems, financial technologies, and process automation.
  • Strong understanding of financial governance, compliance, and organizational risk management.
