Role Overview

The Training Academy Head will drive the academic vision, curriculum design, and faculty development at India Autism Center. This role is critical in building high-quality curriculum, programs, and workshops, ensuring trainee success and advancing advocacy for the neurodivergent community.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Academic Leadership

  • Design and develop courses, workshops, and learning programs aligned with IAC’s strategic goals and industry best practices
  • Contribute to annual academic planning, budgeting, and performance tracking
  • Drive long-term academic strategy aligned with organizational mission

2. Academic Planning & Program Delivery

  • Develop course schedules and oversee end-to-end program implementation
  • Monitor academic progress and make data-driven adjustments for effective delivery
  • Allocate mentors based on expertise and evaluate teaching effectiveness
  • Ensure high standards in program execution and learner outcomes

3. Faculty & Team Development

  • Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and academic staff
  • Promote faculty research and professional development in special education
  • Build and lead a high-performing academic team

4. Institutional Collaboration

  • Lead collaborations for joint programs, accreditation, and credit exchange initiatives
  • Work cross-functionally to increase program visibility, especially through communications and social media
  • Represent IAC in academic and institutional engagements

5. Trainee Success & Development

  • Evaluate trainee progress through structured assessments and feedback systems
  • Implement strategies to improve retention, engagement, and graduation rates
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for diverse learners

6. Operations, Governance & Administration

  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
  • Develop and implement academic and operational policies

7. Technology & Innovation

  • Integrate technology and modern methodologies into teaching and administration
  • Oversee implementation and optimization of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Promote the use of assistive technologies for trainees and faculty

Must-Have Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Applied Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Rehabilitation Psychology, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in teaching or leading an educational institution
  • Proven leadership experience in academic or special education environments
  • Experience in curriculum development, faculty mentoring, and student lifecycle management
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with LMS platforms and assistive technologies
  • Exposure to accreditation processes and academic partnerships
  • Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including government and NGOs
